The Original Farmers Market on 3rd and Fairfax is a truly quintessential part of the Los Angeles experience and is still one of my favorite places ever.
I remember wandering the aisles of food stalls and shops as a child and being completely enveloped by the smells and sounds of the market, deciding which merchant to buy a bite from, and ultimately wrapping up every visit with a few new stickers from the sticker shop or a scoop of ice cream in a cup.
