After completing my illustration of The Spoon Trade, I couldn't help but think about my other favorite spoon restaurant, Spoon By H. I remember the lovely and kind Chef-owner Yoonjin and her beautifully prepared food, drinks, and desserts, which always made my day brighter. Every meal was so delicious and fresh. I still think about the Spam Fried Rice (full of flavor and kimchi) and the Pork Belly Dumpling Soup - as well as the gorgeous sweets including the Mango Shaved Ice, and the most refreshing Watermelon Juice (with heart shaped ice cubes!) I've ever had. The original Spoon by H space on Beverly Blvd. has unfortunately since closed, but Chef Yoonjin continues the Spoon By H legacy through private dining experiences, which I hope to enjoy one day. - Spoon By H (CLOSED) 7158 Beverly Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90036
