This drawing honors the fine folks at Leo’s Tacos Truck who work hard operating TEN (!!!) trucks in LA County, serving some of the most delicious al pastor tacos ever.
I have spent many evenings at the location on LaBrea Ave., which was conveniently situated just a few blocks from our condo off Olympic Blvd. in a gas station parking lot.
Place your order with the cashier and watch in awe as the taqueros masterfully shave juicy slices of caramelized al pastor onto a double layer of fresh corn tortillas. The best part is the final slice - a chunk of pineapple that flies from the top of the trompo to your plate of tacos.
Apply a few splashes of each salsa from the self-serve bar, garnish with cebollas, cilantro, and lime, and get to business.
