King Taco - Growing up in LA, I’ve been spoiled with incredible taco spots, but when I want something quick, satisfying, and open late, I always think of King Taco. Since 1974, King Taco has been an LA institution, serving generations of Angelenos across its 23 locations. This illustration is of the OG King Taco #1 in Cypress Park. For me, it’s more than just a taco spot. King Taco is one of those places that instantly brings back memories of late nights, simple meals, and the kind of food that never disappoints. One of LA’s true classics. My go-to order is two sopes with asada (three if I’m extra hungry) and an horchata… add in a few tamales and a cup of champurrado for the road.
