Anna Pizza in Valley Village was absolutely delightful. I grew up in the Valley and love coming back every chance I get to try new food in my old neighborhood. Get yourself to Anna Pizza ASAP. Do not miss out on the Upside Down - A vodka sauce pizza with a sesame seed crust. (Side note, I love sesame seeds in all forms. Give me all the sesame seeds and sesame flavored things you have.) This pie is was crispy, chewy and covered in so many perfectly toasty sesame seeds, I quite literally found a dozen or more of them down my shirt later on. 😂 We also added an order of the meatballs, which were rich and packed with gorgeous flavor. The setting is warm and paired with genuinely great service. The shop’s gallery wall of framed photos gives the room so much personality and I haven’t stopped thinking about the penny floor at the entrance.
