From walking down Via Dei Neri, to getting into the queue to order, to deciding which of their 30 sandwich combinations to pick when they all sound absolutely incredible - All'Antico Vinaio is a whole experience, and one of the few Instagram-famous foods that lives up to the hype.
Get a La Paradiso, with mortadella, pistachio cream and chopped pistachios and the Tartufo 4, with truffle ham, fior di latte mozzarella, artichoke cream, and basil. All sandwiches are served on gigantic slices of their freshly baked schiacciata bread, which is a bit like a flatter, chewier focaccia. (Schiacciata translates to "squashed" or "smashed.")
The queues are lengthy, but the wait is not - This place has become so popular that there are THREE shops all right next door to each other, with lines to order running in parallel!
