Some restaurants just have a way of staying with you, even after they are long gone, and A-Frame is one of them. Chef Roy Choi's menu was Hawaiian inspired comfort food with tinges of Korean, Mexican, Japanese, and Filipino influence throughout.
The ambiance was always hip and fun without being pretentious. I'll never forget eating some of my favorite meals under the apex, including the Shrimp Burger and the Housemade Spam and Kimchi Ramen.
A-Frame closed near the end of 2019, after nine years of service.
